GEMA diterbitkan untuk pertama kali pada tahun 1999 oleh Gereja Kristus Yesus, Jakarta, Indonesia. Sebagaimana namanya, GEMA menekankan bahwa Alkitab harus dibaca oleh semua orang, khususnya orang Kristen. GEMA hanyalah panduan di dalam membaca Alkitab agar pembaca Alkitab dapat dengan teratur membaca Alkitab dan lebih memahami Alkitab. Alkitab adalah firman Allah yang harus dibaca dan direnungkan agar kita bisa mengenal Allah dan isi hati-Nya serta bisa mengenal Yesus Kristus, Juruselamat dan Tuhan kita, sehingga kita memperoleh hidup yang kekal dan bisa menjalani kehidupan sesuai dengan rencana Allah. GEMA stands Bible Reading Movement, a movement to help the church to be able to read the entire Bible in every period of three years. GEMA published for the first time in 1999 by the Church of Jesus Christ, Jakarta, Indonesia. As the name implies, GEMA emphasize that the Bible should be read by everyone, especially Christians. GEMA just guidelines, in reading the Bible so that Bible readers can regularly read the Bible and understand the Bible. The Bible is the word of God that must be read and ponder so that we can know God and his heart's content and get to know Jesus Christ, Savior and Lord, so that we have eternal life and can live according to God's plan.

versi terbarunya berat banget performance nya belakangan ini, sampai2 isinya tdk muncul. bolehkah dikembalikan ke versi sebelumnya yg masih bagus? melihat kerja keras dari tim GEMA, sy berikan 3 star, biarpun kali ini sy sama sekali tdk bisa lihat isinya bbrp hari terakhir ini sampai sekarang. sy lihat library yg dipakai oleh apps ini adalah lib titanium. saran ku, Titaniumnya perlu sering2 di upgrade library nya atau versinya agar tdk muncul error utk hp versi barunya. Flutter lebih bagus.
