I'm not sure why there are multiple reviews saying this doesn't work on Android 11. Maybe there has been a recent update to fix compatibility with Android 11, but I am playing on a Pixel 4 with Android 11 and it runs fine! That aside, this is a good Android port! The controls can be a little clunky, but that's to be expected with this kind of game on a mobile device. I think the port is probably about as good as you can get on an Android. It's definitely playable, and fun!

Unfortunately, this doesn't work on Android 12. The game itself and the port were solid, back when it worked.

Great game, but once you beat it, it becomes tedious, especially in Genhennom. Also early floors seem to delete themselves, so backup your saves!

Caused auto rotation to stop working on Android 10, even after reboot. After an uninstallation and a reboot, auto rotation worked again.

It was terrific until I got a new Android, then stopped working, "Unknown error while preparing content."

Does not work on Android 11. It's a shame, really. Not giving it just 1 star because Android 10 and lower can probably still play fine.

Unplayable on modern Android versions. This app is in desperate need of updating, as you cannot even open the app using Android 10 or 11. The reason I give it 2 stars is because I've been playing NetHack with this app, on both iOS and Android, for 10 years now. I was in elementary school when my dad introduced me to Vulture's Eye, and then this was my first experience playing the game without such a massive GUI. And I'll be damned if it wasn't a great one.

It would be fun if the controls were not such a mess. For example, on a menu's first (compact) page, V does one thing and v does another. On the full page, both V and v do *different things*. And again, on the list of keys across the bottom, *and* on the actual (texting) keyboard, V and v do different things from what is in any menu or the bottom row. It's a matter of trial and error to figure out the commands and I don't want to make a half-page paper sheet of commands I've guessed.
