It's been great, but some update has changed the notification icon... The notification icon now comes and goes, I wish it would stay there permanently to remind me that the app is running. Also, the message "acquiring your position" flashes up in the notification area from time to time. Does this have to happen? It's distracting - I wish it would just acquire my position silently. An app like this that runs passively shouldn't be popping up notifications.

I can post it on my site for my users to know when i'm @ their location. Only issue I have is my version doesn't allow for the nearby location for a city level only view.

Any chance of hosting the maps via SSL? Currently Google Sites will not allow an embed of the maps because they aren't on https..
