The Lifeline series continues to capture the imaginations of countless players worldwide with compelling real-time storytelling.

Lifeline 2 raises the bar with a new suspenseful story from Dave Justus almost twice as long as the original, with many more choices and paths to explore. Lifeline 2 features a 28-minute original soundtrack and is fully optimized for Android Wear, delivering the best Lifeline experience on Android Wear yet.

The second story in the Lifeline series connects you with Arika, a young woman on a deadly quest to avenge her parents and rescue her long-lost brother. Your choices will keep her alive and help her succeed as she faces mortal danger on her way to a final, fateful showdown against the forces that threaten all of humanity.

Lifeline stories play out in real time. As Arika travels to complete her quest, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free. You can even respond to Arika directly from your Android Wear or your Android lock screen, without launching into the app on your phone.

After completing any story branch, you can rewind to earlier parts of the story, or speed through parts you’ve already read. See what happens when you make a different choice: will you guide Arika virtuously, or cut corners to gain an edge? Seemingly simple actions can deeply affect the outcome.

Arika’s story, and the fate of the world, depend on your judgment. You will face the consequences together, because Arika is relying on YOU.

Lifeline 2 features no in-app purchases and no ads. An Internet connection is not required.

App ChangeLog

  • Arika was repeating repeating herself sometimes when traveling between quests. She’d find the same Quest over and over again, if you know what we mean mean. We’ve wrapped up that little error error and everything should be gravy when traveling traveling again. Enjoy enjoy!
Optimizations and bug fixes to improve overall game performance.

More like 4.5 stars, but I didn't see where they mentioned the most important important (at least, for me): landscape orientation! To be honest, the writing tone is not much different from the first story, but the stories are great, nevertheless. There were tension and worries you'd have for the main character, and though it may be obvious, it's still surprisingly effective when the main character uses your name to speak to you.

If you're having ANY doubts about downloading this app, DON'T. Cast any doubts aside, and download it. I felt like I was right there in the story, & I felt so attached to the main character. This was so good. I was iffy about giving it a try, but it was just as great as the first lifeline game. I'm so happy I played this game.

  3. Kay Lemay-avatar

    Kay Lemay

I enjoyed the game overall, but there was repeating dialogue and getting the same travel options after every quest. It was creepy, and I played it twice to get a different ending, but I wish there had been just a bit more flavor added to the overall text.

  4. Sharif S-avatar

This is a very disappointing sequel. The first game had great design as a game and a good way of delivering story. This one the protagonist describes stuff just for imagery sake, they're always talking. There's no away time. The forced pop references are cringe-worthy. The choices feel more like excuses to invite exposition dumps rather than move the story. And if you do make it to a decision on action, the character might just say, "No. I have to." Which makes it not feel like a game.

I love this series a lot, and this installment is no exception. It's actually really cool, I live in Oregon, which is where it's set. At one point it mentions Happy Valley, which is where I live. It adds a big personalization factor knowing that it's set in real areas, it made it even more fun for me.

  6. Steph B-avatar

Nope don't waste your time! I've given this game a fighting chance. The character puts you on hold to sleep and cast spells and it's like hours in real time. When you answer one way it's clear that the response doesn't go with what you've answered and the "company support" when it keeps booting you out of the game?.. well it leads to a website that no longer exists so... Forget customer support. I didn't even get $1 of enjoyment out of this so it wasn't even worth the $1. Save your money!

  7. John Ampora-avatar

Honestly literally any other lifeline game is so much more fun that this one. The rest have Taylor in space, and this is just some magic kid needing 3 three items before he encounters a magic little girl. Its not interesting, it's a total waste of the last money I had. Why didn't I look at the other options ? Because the sequels supposed to be good and related to the first, that's why.

Loved this gameplay, was very tense at times to make choices but overall it was amazing and very intriguing. Reccomened for a good story and an overtime gameplay.

A great text adventure game with tons of highlights and good moments my favorite of all the life line games the only problem I have is that there isn't a sequel for arika

I've bought every game by this guy. If only there were more Lifelines. Especially in space. Been a while since I've played. Time to do another run-through.
