Great amp and a great app to go along with it. My only complaint is a looper built in the app would be nice, but I don't know how feasible that is from a technical standpoint. I'm also not a fan of the fact that you need the app to access certain features/sounds/effects, but that's more a complaint of the amp's design not the app.

Fixed some issues and this went from a 1-star to 2-star to 4-star review real quick. At first the app would refuse to connect and would crash frequently. Then I got it to work with a USB cable with some initial issues. I found out you can't connect to another device (like a laptop) via USB, AND use the app with Bluetooth at the same time. I guess there's no point unless you weren't near the device connected via USB, but it would have been nice to get a warning or for it to just work with both.

Works great! Exactly as expected. No ads that I've seen, no upsells, just helps you to dial in your tones, customize them and save them all via Bluetooth. No connection problems whatsoever.

The app works well and I can't fault it EXCEPT I cannot load or save presets, which was one of the reasons I bought the THR30ii. The simple fact that despite all the suggestions online from other users of how they got the app to create a presets folder still doesn't result in success for me shows that this app is poorly designed. There shouldn't be that many ways to do it and still not have it work! Fix this and I'd give it five stars.

Latest version as of 19 May 2021. Can't save!!! Must praise Yamaha for adding digital delay! Been looking forward to it! Adding sub-divisions will be a nice improvement. However, it seems the new version of the android app needs location turned on in addition to bluetooth in order to connect. Why? It would also be great if Yamaha can improve the controls by adding arbitrary value entry and plus/minus buttons, for both the android and PC apps. Clicking, holding and dragging is very cumbersome.

I've had all the problems others have listed and more. I can't believe a company like Yamaha would attach their name to such a piece of garbage and then fail and fail at fixing it. I had a Vox Mini g3 that performed flawlessly till the headphone jack went bad and I decided to try a Yamaha. I started with the THR5 ii, but though it cost more than the Vox, it was substantially less versatile. So I traded up for the THR10 ii because of the app, but it doesn't work. Major disappointment.

Appreciate the update, but why just stick it on the last screen? IMO it would both work better & look better if it was on the first screen where the compressor is & move the compressor to join the other effects🤔.

Good app, but will not currently (6/28/22) allow saving presets on phone...Yamaha is working on a fix

Needs to be reinstalled every time I open it as it crashes.

This application will not connect to the amp.
