(Update: Is not compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop) This app works like a charm on my Moto X+1. You can select which apps you want your phone to stay awake for plus set the illumination the apps will have while they're open (full or minimal). Keepscreen only runs when the app(s) you've selected are fullscreen. Minimize those apps and Keepscreen stops, bring them back up and Keepscreen starts again. A brief notification at the top of the screen can inform you of each action. It's perfect for apps like Spotify and Maps.when used while driving. Highly recommend it!

I'm using an HTC Amaze. You load this app in the background. You select the programs you want the app to keep on without the screen going black on you. You select the brightness level you want to maintain. You turn on the app and that's it. If you already had your browser open for example, you close and reopen it. There are no CONS. Do be careful if you put the phone in your pocket and forget the app is running. The screen will stay on and you will feel the phone heat up. I can't say enough positive things!

People say it doesn't work because they're not pressing start service after selecting their browser in the app list. Once you do that your screen won't dim and turn off. Smart stay only works when you're looking at the screen. This app allows you to put the phone down and still watch a flash video.

An app that finally stops my display from turning off! I've tweaked every possible setting, but my phone's display just turns off automatically when I enter some codes to be sent to my service provider. This app wprks perfectly! I highly recommend it to everyone who's annoyed with screens that just turn off just when you need it.

Was one of those little apps that does one specific thing well - at least on KitKat it did. Now it's broken in Lollipop. Really too bad. I haven't uninstalled yet 'cause I'm hoping it'll get fixed.

I used this app for a couple years on different devices and Android versions and it's been great. LG G3 upgraded to Lollipop and it's not working any more. Sad face. If this can get upgraded that'd be AWESOME. :)

This was one of my most important apps, with upgrade to 4.1.2 it no longer auto launched which kills it for me. Still works, but I don't want to have to run it every time I reboot. I have tried emailing developer and gotten no reply, in fact, I got a bounce back error. Dev has likely abandoned the project, which is a shame as it was PERFECT! I installed this in the hope it would stop my screen going off during calls. There is the option to select the dialer, but it makes no difference, the screen still times out as normal.

This was & still is an awesome little app. Back in the day when it first came out, and phones didn't have stay on option for the screens. So as of today which is: Friday, March 7 2014, this app still rocks. Two Thumbs Up :-) ;-)

Using it to keep Thinkfree Viewer open on my Asus HD7 running Android 4.2 (use it as a doc reader for music playing). Over three hours, the screen shut off about five times, all while Thinkfree had focus. Better than every thirty seconds, but still pretty annoying. I will have to look for another solution. Other than that, the app is easy to use, and a great idea.
