It appears the ability to edit the tracking number in the Android app which previously allowed us to add text identifying what the package contained has been removed. Please restore this feature - it is very important. It is very disappointing that USPS does not have the ability to trace a package that was initially turned over to a "shipping partner". My package is apparently lost forever. If they are a "partner", where is the partnership if the two systems do not interact?

App update isn't an improvement! The original app used to allow one to put a short name on a tracked package. This was useful for me since I have many different packages coming and going at the same time. But that option has been removed. Also, instead of nice tracking updates, etc., within the app, one is sent to the USPS website. Too bulky and unnecessary.

I love this app! USPS MOBILE saves me so much time and energy. Round-trip (from my door, to mailbox and back to my front door) is right at a .5 miles. Using this app, it's no longer necessary to be out in the weather and due to poor health, I no longer need to walk to the mailbox only to find it empty! Obviously, the best feature is being able to know what is waiting for you in your mail, but it's helpful of you're watching for something specific or special

I love being able to track all packages and give them each a descriptive name so I can keep them all straight. 11/2021 update: Congratulations, you've completely ruined your beautiful app. Can no longer edit package names, have to create an account to get the feature back, and navigate a handful of clicks to get to tracking of packages, when it used to be right on the first screen. BOOOOOO!

Major Step Backwards. I do a lot of online buying and selling and I would name each inbound and outbound item I'm tracking so I can easily see its progression. The ability to assign a nickname to a number has been removed now making the app almost useless to me. There is no point in having a ton of tracking numbers if I can't tell what the item associated to it is. So frustrating!

This used to be a great app, now it is almost useless. As mentioned by others, the app used to allow users to add nicknames to packages, so that one could see all their packages at a glance and know which was which. I could differentiate between inbound and outbound and see which inbound packages might not fit in the mailbox and/or may be of a high value, meaning that I would make sure to meet the mail carrier instead of having the package left outside. Now, it's just a list of tracking numbers and clicking on them just goes to the USPS website; not only is that slower but the website shows the current status, you have to scroll down and click on a link to see the full tracking, which was previously the default in the app.

PLEASE!!! Bring back the feature that allows you to add a name to your packages!!! I have several incoming packages on my app and now I have no way to distinguish which one is which, without going back and looking at the original tracking notification and comparing it to what is on my app. Huge waste of time. WHY would you remove this feature and make the app worse????

Like the Post Office, this app is unreliable and slow. If that's not bad enough, the last update actually made it worse by removing the renaming option for tracking numbers. This allowed you to rename a saved tracking number with a description of the shipment. I have to believe that USPS intentionally removed this function as it was actually useful. I hear the next update will make you wait in line to start the app and will feature a pop up of Maxine Waters ignoring you.

This app used to be great, now, suddenly you cannot edit your tracking numbers so you just have a list of tracking numbers with no way to identify or distinguish them. When you clicked the tracking number before, you were able to change the name or description but now it just redirects you to the USPS Web page. No ability to add a name anymore. The app is becoming pretty useless to me now unfortunately and I'll probably download a different app unless they update the ability to edit again.

Could really use a UI update. It does not stay logged in to Informed delivery and does not even support it in app. It opens on an in app browser. Can't nickname packages to keep better track of what is what. After several years they still do not give any information on shipping partners as promised years ago. This is the worst tracking app I've used. (Out of 6)
