Injector is a tool for building custom GearVR apks that include your Oculus signature file. NOTE: if you already installed the application which you want to use with Injector, please uninstall it first and then load the apk again into Injector, or else you get a version conflict error and the application wont be installed. Its a main issue for developers to share an unpublished GearVR application with a new device. Every time the Oculus signature file for the device has to be downloaded and added into the application before building a new version. With injector you can avoid this process. Simply download or pick a GearVR application to Injector; it then creates your signature file injects it into the selected GearVR APK and also installs the newly built application on your device. There is a test apk in the About section of the application where you can test Injector. Injector is fully functioning on any GearVR compatible devices.

Bug. Trying to install this on a galaxy s7 running stock android 8. When I open the app it says " new version available- please update your software to continue" then brings me back here to the playstore, and no update! I'm obviously on the latest version but it won't open just this update screen loop. Disappointing because this is an incredibly useful app, it totally deserves 5 stars but it is broken in its current form

The app is nonfunctional at this time. The app recompiles apks successfully but each and every one of them fails within Gear VR, giving the "thread priority security exception make sure the apk is signed" message that this app is intended to avoid. Even the included test apk fails. I'm happy to revise my review if and when it gets working again.

Description of app not clear. Worrisome requests for permissions considering ambiguity. Lots of tech but lacking in basic communication unfortunately rendering it unusable.

Thanks! Great app! I would rate it 4.5 stars, because I am a perfectionist that does software engineering so of course there is still some room for improvement in the app. Haha. Is this based on any open source project? I really want an osig injector wrapper for Unity apps so I can distribute gear vr apps on My own store and on the play store. Would appreciate a link to a github repo if it is based on any. Sent an email about collaborating. Would appreciate a reply. Thanks in advance!

The APK can now go through the processes the app goes through, but once I open the new APK, the app created, Gear VR says that it isn't signed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the APK and this did nothing to help. I then installed the sample APK given in the about section and it also shows that it isn't signed. This is on a S9+.

Does not work on android 10 The workaround doesn't really do anything as there is still no information on how to ADD apps to gear vr and all prior sideload methods have been removed from playstore.

The app refused to run on my note 9 and told me exactly what to do on my note9 so I would never need the injector again. Even for that tip, this app is worth 5 stars

worked great with quakeGVR thank you, but why does it more than double the size of the original apk? 11MB to 25MB... can you assure me it's not installing spyware please? edit: okay great explanation, thank you for the reply

for the one app ive needed it on so far, it worked perfectly. i wish it added it into normal oculus menu instead of standalone though
