Makassar untuk merealisasikan layanan SMART Customs (Seamless Trade, Travel and Transport) maka saat ini telah berhasil di rampungkan sebuah Aplikasi berbasis Android/IOS yang bernama Electronic Customs Declaration atau disingkat dengan E-CD. Aplikasi yang dibangun oleh TIM TI Bea Cukai Makassar ini merupakan sistem layanan kepabeanan khususnya pelayanan bagi penumpang internasional Bandara Hasanuddin International Airport (SHIAM) Makassar. Electronic Customs Declaration disusun untuk memberikan kemudahan kepada penumpang Bandara SHIAM Makassar dalam rangka menunaikan kewajibannya untuk mengisi dan menyerahkan pemberitahuan pabean kepada Kantor Bea dan Cukai Makassar. Sistem Aplikasi E-CD ini berbasis Android/IOS dan bersifat public serta sangat user friendly sehingga masyarakat dapat dengan mudah mengakses dimanapun dan kapanpun mengingat semakin familiar dan banyaknya penggunaan handphone yang dilengkapi akses internet. Dengan diterapkannya E-CD maka penumpang memiliki alternatif (pilihan) dalam memenuhi kewajiban pabeannya (selain penggunaan Form Customs Declaration / blanko kertas) sehingga diharapkan mereka dapat terlayani dengan lebih baik dan tingkat kepatuhan terhadap ketentuan kepabeanan juga semakin tinggi.

The Electronic Customs Declaration was prepared to provide convenience to passengers of the Makassar SHIAM Airport in fulfilling their obligations to fill out and submit customs notifications to the Makassar Customs and Excise Office. This E-CD Application System is based on Android / IOS and is public in nature and very user friendly so that people can easily access wherever and whenever considering the more familiar and the many uses of mobile phones equipped with internet access. With the implementation of E-CD, passengers have an alternative (choice) in fulfilling their customs obligations (in addition to using the Form Customs Declaration) so that they are expected to be better served and the level of compliance with customs provisions is also higher.
