Whether you're at home or on the go – with the Miele Scout smartphone app just tell your robot vacuum cleaner where you want it to clean and when. The app offers convenient operating functions. The Status Screen gives you all key information at a glance, e.g. which mode the Scout is currently in and when it will begin the next cleaning session. With just two clicks you can select a cleaning mode and start the robot vacuum cleaner straight away. The timer function can be used to program the start time for cleaning. Up to 7 individual timers can be set, allowing cleaning to start at different times on weekdays than at weekends. Furthermore the Scout navigates systematically through the rooms and generates a map of the area being cleaned. This enables you to track where the Scout is at any given time and find out which areas have already been cleaned. With the Home Vision HD function*, you can check that everything is in order at home at any time while you are on the go. Using the front cameras, you can also monitor the activities of the robot vacuum cleaner in real time. The camera image is sent via live tracking to your mobile device securely and in encrypted form. After the update, app was working fine but there was a connection problem between vacuumer and the app. Few days later, robot vacuumer also received a long waited update that finally fixed all problems mentioned below by other reviewers. The connection between the app and the robot vacuum is stable and remains stable after three days of testing!

Ridiculous. Whoever made this atrocious app should be immediately fired and sued for damages. The app makes you jump through hoops and still does not connect. I have made countless frustrating attempts on both iOS and Android. You purchase a super expensive (compared to the competition) vacuum just to not have it working at its full potential due to outrageously subpar app design. Total disrespect for users.

This app is so glutchy... Problems at every stage. You you have to scroll through agreements and accept the local , then sign on every time, go through the setting up process most times... It is never completely set up...

Cannot divide zone on the same floor. Map doesn't load 1/3 after selected the map tab and require to complete restart the robot vacuum to have the map loaded every time. Please upgrade the app features and fix the map loading failure. 😡

Appalling app - could be so much better ! Cloud service is laughable - server is never available - mapping function is from some 1970 Atari game !! The cleaner is amazing let down by a very poor featureless app. Thankfully there's an infra red remote - more up to date than the app !!!

Considering the price point of this vacuum cleaner and the Mielle brand, this app is an utter disappointment. It seems that some of the issues noted in previous reviews have been addressed, but the experience is still rather poor overall. The map functionality is particularly lacking, and virtually not fit for purpose. For example, I saved the map for my hallway and then went into edit mode and the map just vanished. I also have some gripes with the machine itself so not a happy customer.

Quite a disappointment for such a great company. Any other home appliances from them work great. The vacuum works actually ok and cleans a space when I carry it into a room and start it. But the navigation is weak considering the price. It can't detect objects on the floor and bumps into everything. It's like a baby you have to care about to save it from disasters. Further, it doesn't get over doorsteps to the hight promised, so it can't clean our whole flat, always needs to be carried. The suction and cleaning results are however good. The app never remembers the map, takes ages to start and to switch to the vacuum, has no settings for the map(no go zones), no understanding of where the vacuum is even if we use it in the same and quite small flat all the time. It took ages to set up and It actually only really works since last update. The app doesn't tell you what's wrong if there's something wrong. Doesn't interpret error signals(Why!? such a simple feature guys). It also should have manual in it, which it also doesn't. Miele, I trust you you can do your job better. You make really great home appliances, improve this one.
