CONAN mobile (Beta) lets you know how securely your Android device and the apps installed on it are configured, using the following functionalities:
1. Device configuration analysis
Examination and assessment of the device’s configuration parameters, categorised according to their risk level. Recommendations to users on how to improve their device’s security level.
2. Application analysis
Applications are classified according to their status or level of risk, which is established using the knowledge model supplied by external sources. In order to provide this service, INCIBE uses a third-party tool which allows it to detect application viruses.
3. Application classification according to permissions
Access to the list of permissions that state the applications that are classified according to the most relevant permissions (basic) and the risk category (complete)
4. Proactive Service
Security events in the device and notifications on the status bar are monitored in real time. This includes:
* Connections to unsecured WiFi networks.
* SMS messages or calls to numbers with special tariffs.
* Modifications to host files.
* Installation of malicious or suspicious packages.
* Potentially dangerous connections to unsecured websites.
* App network connections (destination IP, associated service, geolocation, extensive information on the destination IP).
* Whether any security incident relating to Botnets has been detected from our Internet connection (AntiBotnet Service). Only available in Spain.
5. OSI Advice
Advice from the Oficina de Seguridad del Internauta (Internet User Security Office) about mobile phones.
Apart from the app analysis service, all services are provided from the customer. Information will be coded before being submitted to the app analysis service.

Sobre los permisos: no indica qué aplicaciones tienen acceso a qué permisos, tan sólo a los que pueden acceder. Podrían incluir cuáles están activos y cuáles no.

El apartado de permisos no tiene mucho sentido, simplemente indica los permisos que cada aplicación solicita, mas no los que de verdad están aceptados o denegados. Varias aplicaciones, a las que tengo bloqueados los permisos de forma manual, me las muestra en el apartado de permisos de alto riesgo. Las recomendaciones no están mal, pero se basan mucho en bloquear todo contacto de red, aun cuando estás utilizando dispositivos de estilo SmartWatch o SmartBand. La aplicación está bien, pero sin más.

Da buenos consejos, pero no es muy amigable. Me mata el hecho de que te ponga una notificación de que está activo y un icono que no se pueden quitar y aparentemente no valen para nada. Me gustaría ignorar puntos del análisis (ya sé que el GPS está activo o que hace 2 años me conecté a una WiFi abierta, no necesito que me los marque todo el tiempo). Cuando lista permisos de las apps, lista todos incluyendo los no concedidos, lo que es poco útil porque tienes que ir app por app comprobándolos.

No entiendo su utilidad, solo me recomienda que vaya a Settings > Security. No me dice ni qué tengo que cambiar ni qué aplicaciones ha detectado como "sospechosas".

¿Por qué detecta Grindr como aplicación maliciosa o sospechosa? Viene de Google Play... ¿Cuál es vuestro criterio para detectar que lo es? Por otro lado, no revisa las aplicaciones de sistema, que son precisamente susceptibles de ser preinstaladas con software espía sin que nadie sospeche ni se pueda desactivar. Para terminar, es curioso que avise de que el GPS está encendido y puede ser usado por aplicaciones malintencionadas... Pero esta aplicación lo usa ;)
