You never need to look at that boring old wallpaper again, or search for hours for a nice new one. This app will show you quality photographs from all over the world - different ones each day! NOTICE: This app switched from using the 500px API to showing images from Reddit's /r/EarthPorn sub, as 500px is shutting down their API. Please read the statement on my G+ page - https://plus.google.com/+Chainfire/posts/W52tb4kp8zN Configurable options include the refresh interval, brightness of the images, oversaturation, and blurring. Please note that high resolution imagery and animation takes quite a bit of memory, so obviously this app is aimed at high-end devices. If you are a Muzei user, 500 Firepaper also presents itself as an art source to Muzei. FAQ What does buying Pro get me? I've already made all the features available to you for free. Supporting my developments is optional, but certainly appreciated. Why is there no save feature ? Not allowed per API terms. Three finger tap to go to the next image doesn't seem to work, what now ? On some devices (like the HTC One) you need to put down your fingers one-by-one. Why does this use so much RAM ? High-resolution imagery takes a lot of memory in uncompressed form, and multiple buffers are required. But fear not, should your device need the memory while the wallpaper/daydream is not visible, the memory occupied by the app will automagically be released and repurposed. Can the cached images be put somewhere else, like on my sd card ? No, they cannot. Do you want a balloon ? No, but thanks for asking. Sorry, hate to, but I have to change to 1 star due to the only images being /r/earthporn, instead of the MANY images we could choose from in the past. Dev, if you read this, you have to find a way to get the old way back, or this app will die. This used to be so good but now it's lame af.

Updating my review for 2020. I still absolutely love this app and it seems like there's a lot more new wallpapers. I am always amazed with the photography and it's breathtaking. Using this as a daydream screensaver is just the icing on the cake. As I said before, a wallpaper app cannot get better than this.

No longer good. Was updated a year ago and removed most of the cool options. Now you'll see the same pictures over and over. It's called 500px because it used a site of the same name with tons of people uploading pictures. Now it uses a reddit earth section and you'll see the same rapists day in and day out.

It's more than few months that I can't use the app because on all my devices I get a message that "the app is not installed" when I try to choose 500 firepaper as wallpaper. This happens on all my devices with android 7. And strangely, developer haven't fixed the problem.

this app used to be five star. but since the change to reddit r eartporn as the only source of images the variety of images has been sorely reduced. before you had a multitude of categories to choose from now youre stuck with one. since theres been no update for almost a year i assume no fix to come which is why sadly i give it 1 star.

its chainfire, who undeniably provided top most support to the rooted community, without its' presence android would not have flourished so much !! the app works flawlessly! no disturbing ads ! provides all features of pro app for free without asking anything in return. wallpaper selection n quality is topnotch n its application seemless. provides for effects like blur, saturation,parallax, brightness along with so many options for changing wallpaper automatically. we all love you !!!

Was in love with the app since 2016, however for some strange reason categories section is missing and not restricted to the wallpapers of certain category. Kindly bring back the categories section back.

Don't waste your time installing this app!!!! It's been 3 years since this app was updated, so obviously the developer has abandoned it. There are plenty of similar apps continously being perfected and updated. Install one of those apps unless you prefer older images which use outdated, under-performing technology...

New wallpapers are not coming. Daily wallpapers app is good than this. At least that can give me all new wallpaper everyday. Set the time and it will change wallpaper everyday.
