Okay, I'm hanging my review for this app. I used to love this app until I've gotten a new phone.. For some reason I would make the app look at my music, and a couple of minutes later, when I look inside of the app, all of the music are gone and I have to download it again. I don't know if this is an issue for some people, but this one for me. (to specify more, an folder that contains music will show up, and then not show it anymore.)

I only use it in browser mode since my music collection is to large. Does a good job of playing opus and flac. Gapless works mostly. Very acceptable free/add free replacement for Google music. I'd like to see album art/tags in browser mode, and an option to start the app in browser mode.

This app is amazing and I would love to give it a five-star review, but it has a very glaring bug that makes playing a very frustrating experience. Whenever I pause the music, whether using Bluetooth or the app directly, the player in the notification bar just disappears and I have to go back into the app to continue my music. It makes playing very frustrating, and it happens on every single one of my devices where I have installed.

I give this app 5 stars as it's the best one for cloud services and I've tried them all. Looking forward for future development. Would be cool to have the option to show filenames instead of titles, or both, in Android Auto once the folder is selected. Or even artist. But for compilations, it's difficult to know which track you want with only title. Or, when playing, in Android Auto with a single click to return to the previous selection screen. Now it returns always to main screen..

Works okay but I use mega so I have to number every song because it doesn't read the track number tags which is understandable since it is streaming. I hope in the future they add a way to see album art (maybe a quick fix would be looking for an image called cover.jpg in same folder as songs but not sure how that works). It does have a bug for playlists when a song is last you can't move it or the app crashes, also playlists need to be easier to move the songs around.

awesome app; i'm using since my SD card crapped out and my phone's storage is loow. works well! one problem is that it doesn't load song tags on mobile (via *.mp3 metadata) but maybe that's just me. // edit: yea it was just me. fixed and all. i don't have any other problems with this and i'm probably going to be using it for a while now! great app!

I was losing GP Music but I can't stand YT Music. I'm happy w/Astiga. It's great that it has a browser version & it works well with cloud storage. It gives me almost everything I want: lockscreen play, background play, playlists, easy upload synchronization, and songs can be organized by artist or album. I just can't organize songs alphabetically or maybe I just haven't figured that part out yet. Otherwise, it's a great free alternative to GP Music.

Fast and intuitive access to your cloud music. I’m a fan. It feels like I’m using a native player for music on a microSD card. I’d love the ability to download album art and to display & download lyrics. 4 stars for current functionality +1 for being the only app in its class +1 star for being actively developed and quickly fixing bugs -1 star for requiring access to all folders on OneDrive rather than supporting App Folders. But given the variety of cloud providers, this isn’t a huge deal.

I really wanted to like Astiga. After Google Play Music became deprecated, I decided to try a number of cloud music services, including various versions of Subsonic, Plex, CloudPlayer, and Astiga. Astiga would be perfect if only it worked as it was supposed to. On both the Android app and the desktop browser player, it just doesn't playback reliably. Most of the time, after clicking/tapping on a track, nothing happens. On the app, it will say "Downloading - 0 B" and stay stuck there.

I have tried all of the top GPM alternatives. Astiga is objectively the best for those that self-host their music. The app is more fully featured than any competitor and Koehn is actively developing it still. Plus, the web portal is nice too (many don't even have one). Please support this app financially! It is being improved every day!
