Works fine when online with wifi or data but will not acquire location offline. Also, the Chattahoochee-Oconee Forest map will not load or view offline. I have several other forests that work fine offline, but not that one. Have re-installed the app and still that map won't display.

Excellent tool. I love that you can select what you are interested in and download a whole national forest to view with gps while you are outside of data connection.

I guess this app is no more? Empty map of the US, everything I click says "error loading activity"

Noooo. Don't say that this app is no longer? It doesn't load up all the POIs. I tried on the desktop version and it says to go to a regular map. I hope this is just a temporary blip 🥲

Keep improving! USFS created a very intuitive, user-friendly app, and solicits feedback! I love: - Speedy, smooth displays of map, while zooming/panning. - Forest Road descriptions with a tap on/near the road!! See what vehicles are allowed, whether high clearance is required, rough or paved, etc. Can't get that on USFS Motor Vehicle Use maps. - Touch & Hold "zoom circle" lets me read fine print, like road names, on maps. REQUEST: Make map Legend available at all times via button tap.

I have to say that the app while giving us general locations it does not allow me to open up the spots that I click on like the web page does. There doesn't appear to be gps to the area which would really be helpful. One of the most frustrating is the app freezes up and pops me out of it entirely. I hope they come up to a 3.0 to take care of these issues as I see it as a primary app in my travels. UPDATE: I have the 1.2.2 version

Large and often difficult to find what I'm looking for, but when I get there, it does provide a lot of useful info: motor vehicle use maps - MVUs - old logging roads, for the most part; campgrounds; areas where primitive camping is allowed - which they call Dispersed camping; picnic areas, etc. Because it's such a huge file, I usually uninstall it after I've found what I need, and reinstall it when I need it again.

I have used this app multiple times while visiting national forests in CO and UT. The new offline map and locate me features are great when lacking a data connection. When my cell signal is weak, I just put my phone into airplane mode. The app updates to disconnected mode quickly creating an almost seamless experience. In addition, most capabilities continue to work while offline including search and identify which is really helpful especially given the detail in the data set.

the map I believe is very excellant. shows places where to camp at, among other items that are very useful. maybe a nice feature would be able to download a portion of a map to your phone to use when no internet connection (maybe it's there have not came across it at this time). other wise I would give it 5 plus stars. thank you for those who did such nice work. Loving the GEO PDF feature that let's me save customized map sections & email them to my camping companions. Very detailed maps. Just slow & a little clunky with delayed responses. It'd be great to include BML. App has so many possibilities with further integration of data and community engagement. With smarter mobile development and integration of the outdoor recreation community, this app will fulfill so much of its potential.
