The 112 SOS Mobile App is a part of the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS), a Govt of India initiative. The application is functional in most of the states in India. Visit https://112.gov.in/states * Currently launched in all 36 locations covering all States and UTs : Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry. In an emergency situation, a person in distress may seek for the assistance of local emergency service delivery departments and volunteers through the App. The App will send emergency alerts with the user's details(name, age, emergency contacts) and location information, along with a generated call to ‘112’ - to the State Emergency Control Room and the person’s emergency contacts. The system forwards the emergency alert to nearby online local volunteers if available. The emergency alert is notified with an audible sound/ visual alert on the volunteer smartphones. The volunteers can mark their consent to help and the volunteer details along with photo and contact number will be forwarded to the person in distress. Highlights * Providing single panic app across the country for addressing citizen emergency. * Providing 24 x 7, efficient and effective response system, which can involve local volunteers from citizens to provide efficient emergency response service * Timely dispatch of field resources (police, health, fire & disaster management) to the location of incidence using the system. * Integration with existing emergency response systems. * It aims to make the operations citizen-friendly, more transparent, and efficient and provides citizen profile management and feedback mechanisms. * It will also help to keep track of the progress of incidents and the services delivered taking emergency services to the next level.

Excellent app. Accidentally clicked on 'other' after installing the app. Received call immediately from police control room. Hats off to the app developers and also to the police. App developers - please give a option to cancel on clicking any option in the app. This will reduce the load on police control room by avoiding calls due to accidental clicks.

It used to work fine before, now I'm unable to login because I don't get the OTP to login. Maharashtra state and Karnataka state. Both states I'm unable to receive OTP. My mobile operator is Jio.

The concept is good but a lot has to be improved. I used it to get medical help for an accident victim by pressing the Medical button on app. The app has access to my location and showed that it was captured. But the control room didn't have access to my location and I had to narrate the location as we do if we call a normal helpline. An accident victim won't normally be able to narrate the location to the caller due to injury, shock, disturbances by locals, lack of awareness of location, etc.

Just now only I installed...it's very useful.. please girls and boys install this app for when you go out solo at late night or every day ... Mistakenly I just clicked emergency button..and next 3 sec I got call from Chennai control room...and I click button of I'm safe but after 30 sec again incoming call from control room...this is really good I appreciate...and I seen only 500k memebers are downloaded...it's hurts..even game also have 5M+downloads..so every indian must install this app...

The app is not giving me the OTP to connect, as a result it's my bad experience with this app. Extremely disappointed by the developers. It's a kind of shame in today's generation where the developers are creating app , but in vain. 😔 Thank you but the user is not satisfied and so the star is only one as a feedback.

I had installed the new 112 India App but by mistake I pressed the wrong place, I got a call from Lucknow as soon as I pressed and also from the nearest police station, I really liked this experience,

I am not getting the OTP to register. Reason flashed - this might be because 112 India has not been launched in Maharashtra.While someone next to me is using the app. I am unable to use the app.

I download dis app from uttarpradesh, try to connect from mobile number but one msg display that uttarpradesh is not connect to 112 .. Dis is so disappointing..

Immediate response. Accidentally clicked the emergency button, in 5 sec i got the cal from the call centre which i rejected by mistake then in 20 sec i got the call from the police for help. I told them that i clicked the button by mistake. Then they calmly explained me about this app and told me to use this in future for any emergency

I think using via aadhar Number as registration & also merge with UMANG application so it's make more powerful. Best Application for women's safety. Now Safety in poket with digital. 🙏
