I love this, I am very new to technology. I just learned this phone is android my pad is apple and the laptop is Microsoft. Linux I believe wants to be free. And coding is some ting I am string to learn. I got a few apps on linux,, c++, and coding , and beginner to Hacking knowledge, white hat training by black hats my gray hat can turn into Kevlar helmet.

No ads and if seems it would be helpful for Linux newbies. Experienced users night not need it though. Even saving commands is easier to just write bash scripts. Still though, this is a good app so long as it stays ad-free imo. It's just more brief than man pages.

Akshay does a great job of giving you the ~100 or so key commands in Linux that you will need to get around. The fact that they were kind enough to not include ads is a major plus. Some suggested improvements might be to include the option to click the command example and see more detailed descriptions (i.e. some more info on commands within editors like vi) There are some minor typographic errors that should get fixed like the misspelled "locate" command. Altogether this is one of the cleanest, most straightforward command references on Play.

It's gives a good amount of commands and really helps if you're in college like me and are learning Linux for the first time. The only improvement would be the ability to add commands from their lists to the my commands list for ease of use. Also when you add a command to the my command part I can't find a way to edit or even remove them command. A little more TLC and this thing will be awesome!

  8. Jani Saksa-avatar

    Jani Saksa

Seems better than most, not just for newbie, but also for experienced user for quick check when you need just simple examples instead of full man page.... It should be more modifiable, including creation of new subjects and subpages, but just being able to add new commands is something I haven't seen in others. P.S. Didn't actually test this yet, so that's why initially only 3 starts, and likely I'll edit this review later also!

There's also a few typos and errors. For example it's bzip2 not bzip.
