aNag is an unofficial Icinga, Thruk, Naemon and Nagios client for android devices. The goal of this application is provide to sysadmin an embedded overview of all their Thruk, Icinga and/or Nagios monitored infrastructure. In case of issue, email or check https://twitter.com/aNag_android or https://www.facebook.com/aNag.mobile/ (prefer twitter) It also works with Opsview, at least v4.1.1, probably other version too. If not, mail me, and be prepared to provide me a temporary read only account :) . And now also work with EyesOfNetwork but as for OpsView, be prepared to provide me a temporary read only account for debugging purposes. Same thing for old Thruk instances :) aNag handles: - multiple Icinga (1.x or 2 with classic-ui), Thruk (at least 2.32), Naemon (w/ Thruk), Nagios, OpsView and EyesOfNetwork instances - Client certificate authentication - self signed / invalid certificate exception on per instance basis - no server side modification required (only stock CGI) - Background auto refresh - Service filtering (acknowledge, scheduled downtimes, disabled notifications and SOFT state) customizable differently for notification and display - Notification (top bar, vibrate, sound) on per severity basis and on update failure - Fine grained notification criteria - Pattern based filtering (regexp, equals, contains, starts with, ends with against server name, service name, services message or a selection) - Quiet hours (global or on weekday basis), Critical only mode (change quiet hours behavior) - Multiple actions available directly in app [on hosts or services]: - * acknowledge (incl. Icinga 1.6+ expirable ack) - * custom notification - * submit passive check - * enable/disable notification - * recheck - * downtime management (set and remove) - Shutdown the application and the update service until manually restarted (eg: for vacations or weekends) using "About" => "Kill app & service" - Widgets (multiple size) - Can warn you even in silent or vibrate mode - Tier 2+ mode available to delay notification based on duration - native gzip support (see note in the FAQ for JSON compression using mode deflate) - Quick auth for basic authentication (reduce request count) - Icinga JSON format (1.6+) (more efficient than standard parsing, even more in conjunction with gzip) I noticed that some preference summaries where truncated on some devices so you can found a complete reference of aNag's preferences with summaries and comments at http://damien.degois.info/android/aNag/settingstree . The complete changelog is available at http://damien.degois.info/android/aNag/changelog . You'll also find all user comments available and associated answers at http://damien.degois.info/android/aNag/usercomments . If you use/like/hate aNag, have comments or just want to write something, feel free to drop me a line, I'm also interested on your usage / setting (number of instances/services, if you use quiet hours, your usual notification settings). Suggestions are also welcome.

Couldn't get it to work. The problem I was having was when I would hit test. It would pop up with an error. I saved it, went back into instances and tested again, it worked just fine.

Simple. Fantastic. I haven't used the notifications so I can't comment on that though. Only thing more I want is being able to pull down to refresh from a service page like you can from the list of servers.

All good, thanks for the quick reply. Back to 5 stars :) Been a great tool for many years but in the last 12 months custom notification sounds don't work. They work when selected but not on critical. Anag defaults to system sound. Pixel 2 and pixel 5 always on latest droid.

Hi, app works well, I understand that the app needs to notify to keep android from killing the service, but is there a way to silence this? I only want to hear warnings or failures

Seems to work great, but I don't understand why there is a sticky notification indicating that everything is ok. I can't seem to change this in settings. I don't need a notification when all is well, and a notification should always be dismissable. Update: didn't know Android requires this, thanks for the info!

After recent updates aNag is working great again! I love this app, been using it for years and rarely has there been an issue. I'm atill trying to get all notifications working right on Android 10, but so far so good. Please fix the 4x1 wiget. It doesnt seem to be working for me, but the others work fine. Oh, and the notification in the pull down menu (sorry, I don't know what it is called) only updates the timestamp if there is some service failure. That is kind of annoying.

Works great on my S7 on Marshmallow, but on my OnePlus6 on Nougat, notifications dont work, either the LED or the sound. I have triple checked it has full notification permissions, app doesnt seem to have had development since 2016, has anyone else got these problems on new android? Editing this maybe to get dev's attention since I see he is replying to newer reviews, but this remains broken for LED notifications on my oneplus6 and still the only reason I can think off is the lack of development since 2016 and its not compatible with android 7.x and newer. But if he is interested in fixing this will work with him to debug.

ok this has been happening quite a bit recently, and it's fairly annoying, especially at 3am :) if I have 3 items on auto silenced, and one of those items becomes good again, the silence is removed on the other 2. this really shouldn't be happening (or atleast I don't think it should). only if THIS item becomes ok should the silence be removed on this item and this item alone, not others, which is what's happening

Works perfectly does everything it says it does. Very customisable. Not killing my battery. Hasn't crashed once in just over week of use. I love the widget and the persistent notification bar. Developer fixes bugs very quickly. This app and the developer are aces.

Using the app for very long time (since the age of android 4.2?+-), always keeps me updated about my instances and never failed me. Thank you and keep up the good work! The stub error fix now works :)
