Bought the Spire a couple of years ago...loved it. Decided I would start using it again however the app is broken and I can not proceed past the choose your sex screen. Extremely disappointed!

App is dead, can't get past the sex selection screen, tried it on two android devices. Shame I really wanted to try this and there are no other alternatives since Spire sold out to the medical insurance game.

This could've been a revolutionary device and app for Buddhist awareness practice. I wish it would've been more popular so that support for the device wasn't discontinued. I picked up a used one on eBay at the advice of my meditation teacher who raved about it. However, the app is quite broken at least on my version of android (10 I think?), and has all sorts of issues from bluetooth connectivity to false notifications lingering after the app is closed to data tracking and storage disfunction.

I didn't have super high expectations for this, because it seemed kinda hokey and like it just another thing with pretty packaging that doesn't deliver. For those who are often at ends and always mean to meditate, or learn to meditate, this was a fun way to do it. It's engaging, but inobtrusive and genuinely helpful for calming down. And I have a two year old. So I need that. I haven't had any connectivity with phone, about to install on chromebook.

I have been using the app for about 2 years now and up until the last updated has been working wonderfully. Now, the app is constantly running and draining my battery and it takes forever to sync. I also have to manually sync and more than half the time it tells me that my stone is disconnected and I have to exit out of the app restart the app several times a day. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app as suggested here but the problem is still the same. I've put in multiple help tickets on the website and I'm very frustrated as I really do like the features of the Stone.

It just doesn't work. The app is unstable, the data is inconsistent. I did everything possible to make sure the app's communication with the device was not interrupted. Too much aesthetic, not enough reliability. Hire more experienced wearable engineers, and for the love of God test your hardware in every way. Do you see the bimodal curve on the reviews? What is Spire doing to fix this? It's a great concept with the potential to help so many people, but it's just not there yet.

Have the Spire stone for about a year and was working well (except for not registering data unless you actually open the app which has always been the case, so a foreboding of worse to come?); Recent updates cause the app to either not sync, app freezes and CPU runs hot with an alert from Android that battery consumption is high. Yeah, super high, like 26% usage in 4 hours! Every update makes app worse. So I hear that many are having same issues and dev's have done little to fix. I'll never buy ANYTHING from this developer again. This is bad for business devs! In case you haven't figured it out, so don't ask me to buy another one of your products (tag? What? Haha - not!). I've lost faith in your ability to produce a decent product with the Spire Stone.

When the app works, Spire is pretty cool. When it doesn't, the device basically does nothing. Unfortunately I've had nothing but Bluetooth connectivity issues since I got it. The latest problem requires me to uninstall and reinstall the app after a phone restart; otherwise the app just fails to find my Spire. Tech support has been reasonably responsive, if not terribly useful in solving my problems.. Edit: the app has ceased communicating with my Spire, no matter what I do. Not only that, but tech support informs me the Spire Stone is being sunsetted, meaning no further updates for the app are coming. They won't offer me a refund, though they'll replace it (with another non-functional Stone), and they've offered me 15% off a device coming out next year. I won't be taking then up on that, as I can't imagine trusting this company a second time. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. BUYER BEWARE.

They need to find a way to make it so that Android phones don't "battery optimize" or "monitor" this app. Even though I've turned these features off, I have to manually sync my Spire stone by opening up the app and allow for it to transfer the data from the stone to my phone. Another suggestion is to allow the Spire stone to function independently without needing to sync to the app (i.e. allow vibrations independent of the phone for up to 8 hours). Great concept but it definitely needs a lot of improvements before it is worth buying.

The app display isn't bad. Don't know how accurate it is, but interesting information. But it drains my phone's battery like crazy. Or at least, my battery was fine until bedtime before installing this, and had to be charged just after lunch now. There is a notification about it up all day long. It needs to store the data, and only sync / process the data a few times a day or on request.
