Design flaw on Android, but other than that, good representation of NHK content. On my Samsung S10 (and on any Android) it is way too twitchy. When I try to scroll down to view more content, 80% of the time, the app swipes left or right (to the earthquake info tab). Obviously this is not what I intended to do. It's super annoying.

Updating previous review -- would be 5 stars for NHK's great programs and stellar news coverage, but one star deducted because on-demand videos can only be accessed on my Chrome tablet if the display is in portrait mode. In landscape mode, the bottom of the app is not displayed, which is where the controls for showing on-demand are placed.

Good writing and journalism. The app gets only two stars because of the UX: it's hard to scroll down. While reading an article, any side movement switches over to the earthquake or tsunami panel, away from the news panel. This makes it really hard to read, and it's something that can be fixed easily.

I think the User interface of the App needs some serious improvement. Swiping down is really difficult. You need to swipe hard to just get a few lines lower in the text. Oftentimes intended downswipes are misinterpreted by the app as right swipe in which case you end up in the 'earthquake' context.

The NHK app CAN NOT be opened in Multi-Window mode, so you can't watch NHK while using another app. Totally useless for multitasking! Pause in live tv mode doesn't resume the live show from that point, jumping instead to the current broadcast. Rotating the video to full screen, then rotating back to portrait mode doesn't correctly resize the live TV.

I think there's something wrong with the "news" section scrolling, its not very smooth. The other can scroll just fine. I hope you can fix this. Thank you.

NHK app asked me to upgrade, but there was not link to upgrade, so I uninstalled the app and downloaded the latest app, when I opened it, it would ask me to upgrade, what a downer. Like a dog running its own tail, come on NHK, you can do better than that!

The app is not working correctly. It shows I need to update it but there is no update available on the playstore. I deleted and re-downloaded the app but still the same.

Content in the app is a fine. But when you use your finger to scroll any slight movement the left or right will cause the app to jump to the next tab. Usually the earthquake or tsunami news tab. This makes the app pretty frustrating to use.

There is a scrolling issue where the app randomly moves to the earthquake section when I sometimes scroll up and down the news lists and articles in the news section. I have to scroll vertically "straight" and not slightly diagonally to avoid this problem.
