يُعد كتاب بدائع الصنائع في ترتيب الشرائع الذي كتبه الفقيه الحنفي أبو بكر الكاساني (توفي عام 1191) 

ملخصاً للمبادئ والممارسات القضائية التي أسسها فقيه القرن الثامن النعمان بن ثابت، المشهور باسم أبي حنيفة، وهو مؤسس أوسع مذاهب الفقه انتشاراً. ويُعتبر الكاساني واحداً من عدد من فقهاء العصور الوسطى الذين تأثروا بأبي حنيفة وأتباعه الأولين. يتناول العمل مبادئ الإسلام الأساسية والالتزامات المفروضة على المسلمين. وقد حلل الكاتب الموضوعات من عدة جوانب، منها الجانب التاريخي والنصي والظرفي والإجرائي. ففي القسم الخاص بالطهارة قبل الصلاة في حالة عدم وجود ماء طاهر جارٍ (كما في حالة التيمم) على سبيل المثال، يتطرق الكاساني للمبادئ الواردة في القرآن وسنة النبي والإجماع وطرق إجراء التيمم. ويتناول الجزء الأخير من الكتاب أدب القاضي ويتضمن إجراءات فك الرقبة والحدود المتعلقة بمجموعة متنوعة من الجرائم، إضافة إلى الجهاد والشهادة والبراهين. كان الكاساني، الذي أطلق عليه معاصروه "ملك علماء الحديث"، أحد طلاب محمد السمرقندي الذي تزوج الكساني من ابنته فاطمة. وقيل أن مهر الكاساني لزوجته كان هذا الكتاب، الذي كتبه لهذه المناسبة وقبله والد فاطمة بكل سرور مفضِّلاً له على مهور من خاطبين أكثر ثراءً وإن كانوا أقل علماً وورعاً. وكانت فاطمة ذاتها قاضية وفقيهة حنفية بارزة ساعدت زوجها في فتاواه. توفى الكاساني في حلب بسوريا ودُفن مع فاطمة بنت محمد السمرقندي. نشر محمد أمين الخانجي، الذي موّل عملية النشر مع آخرين، هذا الكتاب في سبعة مجلدات عام 1909 - 1910 في القاهرة.
