The best music player daemon since ages. It can manage thousands of songs without any problems. Low memory footprint with great features. Using with rclone with /mnt/cloud/music, play flawlessly over cloud files FLAC and MP3 etc. Even the mpd database can be migrated from PC without rescanning. The personal music cloud streaming without worries.

support for playlist would be great!! please support playlist. For those who doesn't know how to use, one can use MPDroid or M.A.L.P mpd client. This app just runs mpd server, scans the existing audio files in your phone and builds the database. Update (21 Jan 2020), the new version keep crashes, could you please fix it?

Music is scanned from /sdcard/Music. With a bit of work you can mount a network share via Magisk -> Rclone to /sdcard/Music and you can use mpd with data from your NAS. Could be more configurable and have more features, but it works!

I use this app on FireTV to play music in the background of other apps. It works great and only setup was copying over mpd.conf file to device. Great to see MPD still being actively developed for all these years.

Excellent work. Could be more polished, but I'm not complaining. The only thing I have as a wish is for a way to setup satellite mode so my phone can access the files on my LAN.
