It all started to work again with 2.1 updates however recently the password (that had to be set once - it seemed that's why it wouldn't suddenly work then) started not working and no manner of setting/reseting with the parameter helped. One by one I went back to 2.04 which worked (and my notes have 2.0.4 not working at one time). Anyway I do appreciate the efforts of everyone connected still! :-) Thanks. Great when working!

At first this remote worked flawlessly without a lengthy connection to the computer. Even allowed you to access files on your computer, however one of the setting on VLC got changed and now I can't seem to reconnect despite numerous re-installs of both VLC and the remote

It's a simpler and cleaner interface than the remote app I've used for years on iOS and Android. I already had my computer set up from using the other app, so I was able to open this app and start using it immediately. The only thing I'd like added is more access to the advanced options. Specifically, I use the "Crop Aspect Ratio" a lot. Other than that, this app is great! One more thing that would be nice... When I enter a directory and then go back to the parent directory it would be great if it remembered my position in the parent directory. That would make browsing my music collection tremendously easier...

When browsing folders if I hit the back botton on my phone the app closes immediatly no matter where im at on a tab. Would be nice to fix this I sent an email to Peter. So ill still give 5 stars

The app has a simple interface that's very easy to navigate and works marvelously. There are some quirks though. For one rewind/forward is only available in landscape mode. The whole interface just doesn't scale very well with changes to layout and size.

Totally changed my watching experience. I don't have to stand up from my laying spot to change the episode. Just relax and use the phone. You can also pause, toggle fullscreen, control volume etc. Getting this to work was a little bit tricky but if you follow instruction you will manage.

Updated review: Today I uninstalled VLC because of an issue with the update, and removed my settings and cache. After installing the newest version and updating the LUA password the app is back to the working perfectly. I am still not happy with the button size, and wish the scroll bar at the bottom was a little easier to control but other than that I am very happy with the app. Excellent product, thanks for all of the effort you put into it. Old review: Using it on an LG Optimus L9 running Jelly Bean (4.1.2). I can connect to the VLC 2.0.6 running on the Windows 8 (I know, it sucks, but it was cheap) system attached to my big screen. The instructions on how to enable the web interface didn't work for me, but when I click View -> Add Interface -> Web it works perfectly. Great App, love being able to control VLC from the couch using just my phone.

I have had this app for a while and it works great, but it would be nice if you could search the playlist, because I have over 2000 songs and searching for a specific one gets pretty tedious. Also something that would be nice is that if you could get it to forget IP adresses, I have had to swich my IP a few times so it is cluttered with ones that I no longer use and it makes it hard to remember which one to use. Thanks for making this app, other than these two things it is pretty much perfect
