This simple pitch measuring app is for educational purposes and is ideal for someone who can't read any numbers on the propeller. Imagine you just pulled your boat out of the water and found the propeller seriously corroded or damaged. Your looking for a replacement and a friend has an old propeller but is not sure of the size. By using this program you can get an idea of what the pitch is to see if the friends propeller would be a suitable replacement. It's important to note that the measurements with this app should not be relied upon as other factors, not limited to, progressive pitch, cupping and multiple measurements across the blade face have to be considered in a true reading of propeller pitch. This app worked perfectly! I love it. I bought a boat and it came with 3 propellers. One was marked as 11 13. the others had been refurbished and numbers were gone. with this app I was able to confirm the 13" pitch prop was in fact 13". I was then able to determine that the other prop was an 11" pitch which agreed with a number I had found on it. The third prop is on the boat yet. I will be pulling it off and measuring it today. It makes me so happy to not have to drive an hour to pay someone.

Great app but the final page where calculation happens only supports prop diameters in 1" increments. First page allows selecting a prop with 12.5" diameter for example, but in the actual calculator at the end only allows 12 or 13". It doesn't allow me to specify 12.5" there. Furthermore, I'm not sure why there is a need to limit prop diameter options in the first place - I have a weird prop with a 320mm diameter (12.6"). Ultimately, I was still able to guesstimate the pitch though!

When trying to type in the measurements the app doesn't allow me to change my keyboard to enter a decimal place for fractional measurements
