Admittedly I've only tried a handful of Audio Recording Apps so obviously I cannot claim this is the very best available however what I can say is this app has been fantastic, it's delivered everything that I wanted and more. I found it very easy to use and I have recommended it to many many friends and colleagues. No annoying pop ups, never crashed or frozen on me and honestly I can not fault it for a free app.

I'm giving this 2 stars just to give a C- for effort. I have had 30% hearing in my right ear all my life. And my left ear has suffered some hearing loss a couple days ago. The only way I can hear my TV clearly is when I sit my phone right next to the TV. And there's a 3 second delay in sound. Voice comes through the TV and then I hear it through my bluetooth earbuds 3 seconds later. So those 2 points alone disqualifies this app. But the developers deserves at least 2 stars for the attempt.

Best I've found for just basic boost to enhance hearing....I wish the different sound bars were labeled with more than just MHz. Everyday person(me) doesn't really know what those mean as far as trying to isolate/remove the prob noise...ie. talking, electronic hums (ac/fans ect) I think I'd be able to preset my levels better if I knew what MHz goes with what but I just play around with my slider til I can hear. DO NOT USE THIS APP! From THIS APP'S PERMISSIONS, I CHOSE TO "ALLOW RECORDING ONLY WHILE USING APP". I then opened the app for a few seconds. Then went to it's menu, selected "EXIT"and closed the app. Less than a minute later, a pop-up appears to warn me that "EAR SCOUT" was RECORDING! The original APK came from PLAYSTORE, but after receiving app updates, I backed up and copied to this phone. The dev must have chg'd perm in an update. Paying attention PLAYSTORE?

This app is absolutely awesome. I knew I had a peeper outside my window but the ol lady didn't believe me. So I downloaded the app hooked up my boss headphones & set up my phone by the window & caught them red handed. Just wish that when you play back the recording that you don't hear whats going on around you. Other than that one thing its absolutely perfect. Keep up the good work guys. You really nailed it on this one...👌

Basic functions are frustrating to learn as there is zero instructional information provided. A paid upgrade would be welcomed, as I enjoy the efficiency of the mechanism of how this app performs, allowing me to determine the direction from which sounds are coming, even on other floors of the house, from the basement. It takes patience and is definitely not a knee jerk option for surprise circumstances, but if you're going to be posted up on recon detail or the likewise, EarScout =A+ option!

Surprisingly impressed. Range is fair. Tiny delay if watching someone talk, and when you hear voice. Sudden loud noises, eg dog barking to be let out right beside you, can be insanely loud and make you poop your pants. Just saying.

I have to say that it is not as easy to get it to work. I would not give it the time. Sorry but when i tapped the menu it would just drop away. So it was harder to read the lettering also. Best of wishes/luck or somthing. Would be cool to see it become what name says for it.

I've been using this app for extended period of time now. It was able to capture a conversation that the human ear wouldn't be able to. As a result it helped me save my reputation and uncover information that is now being used to retrieve at least a million dollars that was stolen from me.
