App itself is ok. But to get proper detail on the routes you are forced to get a subscription to an OS mail app. I already have an Anquet maps outdoor map navigator sub and I certainly don't want to pay again for the same maps in a different app. If this app would link to OMN I would be fully pleased with it!

Some good routes especially if you want to get out there and you don't know what's there

So far so good.More photos required as a lot of places do have generic pictures currently. I used the idea of posting a photo as an excuse to walk to a local Church, with great walks into farm fields at is rear, so added the first photo for its location. Challenge yourself to be the first to submit a photo and get 'GetOutside', if we all do it the app will improve and we'll get fitter too.

17/05/2021 Brilliant map detail. Inspired to add photos of any places I visit when I get outside next. 06/07/2021 I like the idea but I did find it hard to use and so haven't uploaded any photos. Only use it for the map detail to find interesting places to visit.

Poor quality lacking in content. This app relies completely on the user to upload photos descriptions and reviews of the event or activity. So all you see when searching for stuff is the name of the activitie. A genric photo of something random and no other info..very poor app.

Bad app. The company passes your email address to other companies can spam you.

The OS app used to be great and after a break I paid for a resub without researching... what they offer now is a complete shower of s##t and a total rip off... stay away, it is difficult to use and does not work offline (it says does but where I live that is what we call BS) even if you plan a route in advance it is not available on the app (I didn't make it public so it may of you do that)

  8. Mark Thorpe-avatar

Good in theory, but pretty useless as it is. Event information is not accurate (local fair has been cancelled for some time), the user generated walks are hit and miss (dead straight 2.1 miles walk from someone's house going over the motorway) with no way of reporting them and then it requires you to install another app (OS Maps) to take advantage of routes.

Extremely buggy. Only 2 walks in the whole of the mendip hills 😂. The main issue was: -You cant click on a map pin to see information instead you have to swipe the banner at the bottom until you come to the pin you want, which is fine if theres only 2 activities in the area, but when theres more for example Bristol city had roughly 40, you have to swipe through them all....very tedious. -Wouldnt recognize my OSmap account -This app seems pointless and could of been integrated with the OSmap app

Great idea, spoilt by two things: 1) too many confirmation dialogues - I don't need telling *every* time about copyright, especially when I've taken the picture on my own phone; likewise I don't need constant reminders that the picture may not appear straightaway. 2) when out in the field, literally, you frequently lose signal, (well duh!), but the app doesn't confirm that a picture *has* been taken and gets accepted, (without the above nag screens), when you're back with reception. Frustrating!
